Somebody raided the entire Caterpillar fabric aisle and turned it into a quilt. Squares of school bus yellow, olive drab, and soft cream sit shoulder to shoulder with a brown print covered in tire tread, a black and gray camo, vintage logos marching through the decades (1925, 1932, 1957, 1990 to present), and one busy patch where LET'S DO THE WORK repeats like a foreman who will not let it go. The piecing is honest patchwork, big simple squares, exactly right for a small person who mostly wants to stare at machines. Built Tough rolls across the whole top: a convoy of chunky dump trucks stitched nose to tail with fat curling loops between them, like little puffs of exhaust. School bus yellow thread glows on the dark fabrics and quietly disappears into the yellow ones.
