Every bedtime favorite is tucked into this quilt, and nobody is going to sleep anytime soon. It is all storybook brights: tomato red, tangerine, lime, sunny yellow, and deep teal, with little picture squares of the old bunny in her rocking chair, the cow leaping over the moon, red balloons, kittens, mittens drying on the line, and the comb and the brush. Those patchwork blocks trade places with framed four patches in red, lime, orange, and chambray, where a wise old owl and a frog on a branch keep watch, and a soft denim blue border tucks the whole room in. Ginger Star drifts across it all in long, sleepy swoops that twist into pointy little stars along the way, as if the night sky wandered indoors for a visit. Ocean Blue thread glows on the oranges and disappears into the border. Goodnight, quilt.
