Pink, black, and just a little bit spooky: this is Halloween for folks who like their ghosts with a sense of humor. Twelve framed panels announce things like Here for the Boos, Creeping It Real, Hocus Pocus, and Oct 31, each one wrapped in a skinny black and white stripe that looks borrowed from a haunted circus tent. Between them, charcoal fabric sprinkled with pink and gray stars and bright orchid triangles printed with spiderwebs zigzag across the quilt, with little squares of orange and blush pumpkin florals tucked into the corners. I Spy Halloween hides a whole scavenger hunt in the quilting: plump pumpkins, curly vines, swirls, and long legged spiders creeping right across the printed webs, which feels like they finally found home. Dark gray thread sinks into the charcoal and draws spidery little sketches on the pink. Count the spiders. We dare you.
