Somebody gave this pickup a lift kit and a flame paint job, and it is ready to crush some cars. The truck is pieced in denim blue with cherry red and sunshine yellow flames licking off the hood, aqua fenders, gray chrome exhaust stacks, and a jaunty little aqua flag flying off the back. Two giant black wheels with aqua hubcaps roll over a strip of pebble print gravel, all set on a creamy background with tiny white dots. The border is pure car show: road signs, interstate shields, and words like Fastback, Hard Top, and Kream Puff. Rough Road rumbles across the whole quilt in bumpy, winding paths that curl into little loops and donuts, exactly the kind of tracks a monster truck leaves after a good Saturday. Medium gray thread shows up nicely on the cream and sketches soft trails across the tires. Vroom.
