A giant star has landed in the middle of this quilt and it would like everyone to know. Long diamonds in denim, midnight navy, chocolate brown, and olive gold spin out from the center, each one cut from a textured, grown-up print: crosshatches, basketweaves, tiny plaids, and tweedy dots that read like a well-loved flannel shirt. The cream background has its own subtle weave, so the whole top feels calm and a little rugged. Breath of the Gods keeps it from sitting too still. Sweeping curls and spirals (big, wind-blown loops that roll across the surface) swoop through the diamonds and billow over the background like a stiff breeze just came through the cabin door. Ash thread stays quiet on the darks and draws soft gray curls on the cream. Handsome, windy, and a little bit outdoorsy.
