Somewhere a deer is getting a little too friendly with a snowman's carrot nose, and nobody seems to mind. This panel is a snowy woodland party: a buck in a buffalo check scarf, a cardinal perched right on his antler like a hat ornament, a chickadee on a branch, and a pair of bunnies in green plaid scarves hopping up for a better look. Everything glows cream, caramel, and holiday red against a black night full of falling snow. Hot Cocoa curls over the whole scene in big looping swirls and spirals, like steam rising off a mug somebody left on the porch rail, and the curls tuck right into the snowbanks and the snowman's round belly.
