This quilt is basically a snowman family reunion, and everyone showed up in their best hat. A whole gallery of snowmen fills the blocks: top hats, floppy church lady hats with roses, earmuffs, mittens with hearts, birdhouses, brooms, and one couple in the middle posing for their anniversary photo in front of the pine trees. Rows of big red hearts and snowflakes run across the top and bottom, and navy and cherry red snowflake borders frame the whole crowd. Ginger Heart swirls over everything in long looping lines that twist into hearts along the way, so the quilting keeps sneaking valentines in among the snowballs. Navy thread draws crisp little doodles on the cream, like someone traced the swirls in ink, and disappears into the deep navy border. Warm hearts, cold noses.
